2010/11 Review: Gw 1

The organisers of the EPL could not have asked for a better way to start the new season.
Big matches and surprise results dominated the 1st weeks action.

Things that caught my eye:
  • Tottenham were frighteningly good in their opening encounter against Man City, but Joe Hart was better.
  • Blackpool surprised everyone with their 4-0 thrashing of Wigan, and by going top of the table albeit for a brief period of time (they still are at the wrong end of the table).
  • Not surprising however were Wigan’s, West Brom's awful display.
  • Albrighton looks like a bright prospect. I don’t think Villa will miss Milner once he leaves.
  • Joe Cole was a tad unfortunate; Koscielny was a tad silly; Arsenal a tad lucky.
  • Oh!! BTW Chelsea and Man Utd carry on from where they left off last season.
