2010/11 Review: Gw 3

After 6-0 drubbings in weeks gone past, this weekend failed to live up those lofty expectations. The EPL served up the routine 1-0 score-lines.

Elsewhere in Europe: both the Spanish and Italian seasons kicked-off. Barcelona and AC Milan impressed me the most.

There were a couple of shocking results in the Bundes Liga with German giants Bayern Munich losing to newly promoted Kaiserslaurtern. The game of the week for me was played out between Bayer Leverkusen V Munchengladbach, which produced a 9-goal spectacle. The home side lost out 3-6.

Things that caught my eye:

  • Blackpool are no pushovers.
  • Liverpool and Aston Villa secured vital wins.
  • Rooney ended his goal scoring drought.
  • Arsenal need a better goal keeper.
