The overview of Football Predictor is to successfully predict the scores of each game played in a Game week. For every successful prediction, you score points given the outcome of the actual result of the match and the prediction you enter. The goal for the season is to score as many points, by getting your predictions correct. The player with the most points by the end of the season is the overall winner. The game is completely free to play.

• Firstly, you need to register and login to the site.

• Entering Predictions

  Once, logged-in you are taken straight to the Predictions page. You can navigate to the Predictions page at anytime by clicking on the Predictions tab.

  At the predictions page you can view the current games for the week and enter your predictions for each game and then by clicking submit you register your predictions. You can edit your predictions 15 minutes prior to the game. See image below.

  

  To pick a joker for a prediction click on the joker check-box on the right most column of the predictions table.

• Viewing fixture statistics

  In order to help you make an informed decision regarding your prediction, you can view the last 5 years results for the fixture that you are predicting on. Please click on the button on the left most column of the predictions to view the stats. See image below.

  

  The results are presented in a sliding form and can be closed by clickng the Stats button again on the stats column. See image below.

  

• You can view your past performance in two ways. First, you can have a glance at the weekly performance table on the predictions page.
  To view the detailed results for a week you can click on the week number on the weekly-performance table. See image below.

  

  The other way you can view your results is by clicking on the My Results Tab on the navigation menu and it will take you to your performance results.

• Creating Leagues

  You can create your own league by clicking on the Profile Tab on the navigation menu.

• Viewing League Results

  You can view your league performance by clicking on the Leagues Tab on the main navigation menu.

• Managing your League

  You can manage your League by clicking on the Profile Tab on the main navigation menu. You can change your leagues name and add other members to your league on this page. You need to know the email address of the member you want to add to the league.

• Viewing EPL Season Results

  You can view the English Premier League Season results by clicking on the EPL Results Tab on the main navigation menu. You can view individual team performance by clicking the team name on the leaderboard table on the left hand side of the EPL Results page.

A player can score points by getting his/her predictions correct for a match. Points are awarded on the basis of how accurate your prediction was.

• 3 points for a perfect score
• 1 point for a correct prediction
• 0 points for an incorrect prediction
• If a joker is used then the number of points scored for the prediction are doubled.

• one entry per email address.
• predictions can be made before the lock in times of each match
• a member can only be a commissioner for one league at a time. However can participate in any number of leagues
• points will be awarded based on your predictions
• in the case of no predictions entered the site would enter your prediction as 0-0 by default
• player with the most points at the end of the season would be declared the winner
• in case of a tie, player with the most perfect scores would win the tie
• in case of there still being a tie both players would be declared joint winners
• joker is limited to one per game week
• joker when used doubles your score for the match it is used for
• the administrators resolution to any dispute would be considered final and no correspondence would be entertained after a resolution is made

• How do i win the game?
  

  You win the game by making the most correct prediction and thereby scoring the most number of points.

• What is a perfect score?

  A perfect score is when a players predicted score line matches the actual score line of the match.A player can score 3 points by predicting a perfect score. This happens when your prediction exactly matches the result of the game played. For instance if your prediction for the game was 2:1[Home:Away] and the game ended 2:1[Home:Away] you would have scored 3 points as you would have predicted a perfect score.

• What is a correct prediction/result?

  A player can score 1 point by predicting a same result. A same result is when your prediction does not match the exact score line of the match but has the same outcome. This happens when the outcome of the game and your prediction are the same. For instance if you predicted the home team to win by 2:0 but however they win by 3:1, in this case your prediction would not be perfect score as the score line is not the same. However as your prediction had the same outcome as the outcome of the game played i.e. a home team win you would earn 1 point.

• What is a incorrect prediction/result?

  A wrong prediction is when your prediction is neither a Perfect score nor a Same result. In this case you would earn no points.

• Where can i get results for my predictions?

  You can view your past performance by clicking on the MY RESULTS tab or by clicking a week number on the weekly performance table on the PREDICTIONS page.

• What happens if i do not enter my predictions?

  If you do not enter a prediction for a game then a default prediction of 0-0 is registered on your behalf.

• What is a game week?

  A game week is all the weeksÕ games from each Friday to Friday. So any mid week games would also be considered as being part of the same game week that commenced on Friday. For instance the first game week of the 2007/2008 season would be from the 10th of august to the 17th of august. All the mid week matches would also be considered as being part of game week 1.

• What is a season?

  A season constitutes all the game weeks from the start of the competition till the last game week.

• What is the lock-in time?

  Players would have until 15 minutes before each game to enter their predictions for any given match.

• What is a Joker?

  Each player would have one joker available to them for each game week. A joker when used would DOUBLE the playerÕs score for the match in which the joker is used. The joker can be assigned to only one match per game week.

• How many times can i use my joker?

  You can use a joker only for one game per week.

• What and where are the stats?

  To assist in making your predictions we provide you with PREVIOUS RESULTS and SCORES of each team competing in this yearÕs English Premier League season 2007/2008.

  Click on the button on the left most column of the predictions table to view the previous 5 years results of the selected fixture.

• What is a private league?

  Players can create and compete with their mates by creating their own private leagues. With each player still competing on the overall leader board.

• How to form your own private league?

  Any registered player can create their own private league by going to the profile page.

• Who is a commissioner?

  A commissioner is the player who forms the league and has the responsibility of managing his league and also has the tools to invite, reject or remove a member of his/her private league. A player is limited to being the commissioner of one league. However could join and take part in as many leagues.

• The player with the most points at the end of the season would be declared the overall winner.
• In case of a tie in the standings the player with the most perfect scores would be the winner.

• By registering for this game you accept Football Predictor to publish your name on its public leader board.

(III) YOUR FAILURE TO PROVIDE MATCHPREDICTIONS.COM WITH ACCURATE ACCOUNT INFORMATION;

(IV) YOUR FAILURE TO KEEP YOUR PASSWORD OR ACCOUNT DETAILS SECURE AND CONFIDENTIAL;

2.2 THE LIMITATIONS ON MATCHPREDICTIONS.COM'S LIABILITY TO YOU IN PARAGRAPH 2.1 ABOVE SHALL APPLY WHETHER OR NOT MATCHPREDICTIONS.COM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSSES ARISING.
